At Turners Retreat Early Years & Childhood Services, we believe that the environment in which children learn plays a vital role in their development.
Our setting has been thoughtfully designed to create calm, welcoming and engaging spaces that encourage children to explore, discover and grow in confidence. Each area of the setting has been carefully considered to support children’s learning, independence and wellbeing.
Natural elements, open spaces and purposeful learning areas allow children to move freely between activities, encouraging curiosity and exploration. Our environments provide opportunities for children to investigate, create, imagine and develop new skills through meaningful experiences.
We aim to create spaces where children feel comfortable, secure and inspired — environments that support both quiet concentration and active discovery.Our rooms and outdoor areas are carefully arranged to provide opportunities for children to:

At Turners Retreat Early Years & Childhood Services, our learning environments provide calm, nurturing and inspiring spaces where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore the world around them.
Our rooms are named after remarkable trees from across the world. Trees symbolise growth, strength, resilience and longevity—qualities that closely reflect the journey of childhood development.Just as trees begin as small seeds and flourish when given the right care, nourishment and environment, we believe children thrive when they are supported through meaningful relationships, enriching experiences and a strong sense of belonging.
Each suite within Turners Retreat represents a stage of development, with environments carefully designed to support children as they grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.
Wraparound & Holiday Club Provision
Supporting children beyond the early years
At Turners Retreat Early Years & Childhood Services, our provision extends beyond the early years to support families with high-quality care for school-aged children.
Our wraparound and holiday club provision provides a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can relax, socialise and participate in a variety of activities outside of the school day. We aim to create a space where children feel comfortable, valued and able to enjoy their time with friends while taking part in activities that inspire creativity, independence and confidence.
