Our Approach to Early Years
A carefully considered curriculum supporting children’s learning and development
At Turners Retreat Early Years and Childhood Services, our curriculum is designed to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Our Curriculum Intent
Our intent is to provide a balanced and inclusive curriculum that supports children’s development across the prime and specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We aim to create a learning environment where children feel confident, curious, and supported, enabling them to build the foundations for lifelong learning.
How Children Learn
We recognise that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions. Our practitioners support learning through observation, planning, and responsive engagement, ensuring each child’s development is supported in line with their individual needs and interests.Learning is embedded through daily experiences that encourage communication, independence, and confidence.
